Measures to Support Accessibility

Sista Creatives Rising takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Sista Creatives Rising:

• Include accessibility as part of our mission.

• Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.

• Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities – using captioning in featured videos, alt text, self-id, and image descriptions for detailed artworks. Since 2023, we have utilized ASL interpreters and open & closed captioning at live "Art & Mind" Events.

 

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.  Sista Creatives Rising is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content might not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
